POSITION SUMMARY
The Epic Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Epic EHR (electronic health records) systems within the organization. To do this, the Analyst works closely with healthcare providers, IT staff, and other business stakeholders by providing a customer-centric experience. Also acting as a communication hub, this position coordinates the information technology activities for their assigned areas based on user requirements.
Note : Candidates with Cardiology and or / Epic Cupid certification experience are encouraged to apply - certification is not required but welcomed. This role is 100% onsite in Rockledge, Florida (Melbourne area), and has the potential for hybrid work after a few months, and applicants from outside the area should be open to relocation.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES
- Understands user workflows, core functions, and processes of the supported business area which may include inpatient, ancillary, ambulatory, or revenue cycle.
- Coordinates with clinical end users and apply knowledge of user workflow to assist users in defining requirements.
- Designs, configures, tests, troubleshoots and maintains programs / applications.
- Apply detailed knowledge of system functionality to implement new applications and modules.
- Document business requirements, current and future state workflows, and any custom builds as appropriate.
- Coordinates and participates in all testing phases of associated applications during implementations and upgrades.
- Researches and resolves issues with external and internal resources as needed.
- Provides support during go-live events, including during standard off-hours support times.
- Leads small and medium-sized projects with minimal managerial oversight. Develop key project management tools, including project plans, issues logs, testing plans, and go-live events.
- Responsible for ongoing on-call duties for incidents outside of business hours.
- Participates in cross-training for personal development and to ensure adequate secondary coverage on all applications.
Work Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Associate's degree in relevant field.Work Experience : Any one of the following :Two (2) years in Healthcare OROne (1) year supporting technology systems.Licensure : NoneCertification : Epic certified within six (6) months of start date.Certification not required, but welcome.Work Experience In Lieu of Education : Four (4) years in Healthcare or supporting technology systems.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities :Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.Strong critical thinking skills.Strong communication skills and professional presence.Ability to maintain composure in stressful office environment.PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Bachelor's degree in relevant field.Work Experience : Prior experience in Healthcare, or specific areas such as Inpatient, Ancillary, Ambulatory, or Revenue Cycle Operations.Cardiology workflow, Epic Cupid certification / experience, Structure Reporting experience is a plus and welcomed to apply.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMajority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping.Long periods of computer time or at workstation.Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and / or low to moderate noise.Communicating with others to exchange information.Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.Workspace may vary from open to confined, onsite, or remote.May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.Role is based in Rockledge, Florida (Melbourne area), and candidates must be based within an hour of the corporate office as this role is 100% onsite for first few months.Hybrid work may be considered after a few months of training but not guaranteed.ABOUT HEALTH FIRST
