A Senior Family Law Attorney III is a high-level attorney with 10+ years of law practice experience with an established book, practice, and / or performance. The successful Senior Attorney III is self-directed and thrives with lots of support and autonomy.
The Senior Attorney III generally receives a substantial portion (approximately 50%) of their work through Gravis Law's lead generation and marketing and / or other attorneys in the office. A high-level Senior Attorney III is expected to generate a portion (50%) of their own billable work. They are part of the Mentorship Program, provide Expertise and Training, along with participation on the board.

Responsibilities
- Successful record of mediation experience
- Significant and successful trial experience
- Researching and analyzing the law on complex legal issues
- Writing memorandums, briefs, letters, and other documents
- Marketing your and the firm's services to prospective clients
- Performing discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation
- Performing due diligence in all matters
- Strong communication and advocacy skills, including competence in empathetic listening.
- Managing a schedule to allow for consults and closure of consults to sufficient reach production / collection objectives.
- Closing consults within Gravis range of 30-50% depending on practice area.
- Timely approval of invoices is critical to the health of the business on a month-to-month basis monthly cycle.
- Ensure support staff are fully utilized and productive.
- Accurately and completely update CC with fees, engagement, trust, client information, invoices etc. as required.
- If over-subscribed share work tasks with other attorney and support staff to ensure we are meeting our objective to serve our communities.
- Actively engage in brand (personal and firm) expansion through blogs social media posts, board, and organization participation, etc.
- Actively seek positive comments from successful client engagements and positive star reviews.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.Excellent legal research skills.Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the bar in the state in which you intend to practice.5+ years of experience as an attorney.Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted.The Attorney is expected to bill an average of 1500 hours annually, with collections expected on 1400 hours of invoices worked while working a full-time employment schedule.
Work Environment / Conditions / Physical Demands
Duties will be performed in a standard office environment. Employees must have the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Gravis policy. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be required to work weekends, holidays, be on call, and some employees could be required to travel overnight on occasion.
