Local Team Collaboration :

• Our fellowship is an intensive 12-month long program designed to train board-certified family medicine and primary care specialty physicians who want to practice emergency medicine so that they have the knowledge, experience, and clinical competence to practice independently as an emergency medicine physician.
• Our fellowship graduates will be eligible to sit for the Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (BCEM) exam through the American Board of Physician Specialties (ABPS).
• Join our close-knit team of eight physicians and five APPs at Canyon Vista Medical Center

Key Responsibilities :

In addition to your clinical work in the department, you will have extended emergency medicine board preparation requirements which you must complete on your own time. BCEM preparation online resources will be provided and paid for by the program.

You will also have a 4-hour weekly didactics session that you will have to attend.

Our program carries a maximum of 2 fellows at a time. We start one fellow on January 1st and another fellow starts training July 1st of each year.
