Data Governance & Validation Lead Analyst - Cigna Healthcare - Remote

Provides professional input to Business Analytics assignments / projects. Works in collaboration with business partners to provide analyses and reports to aide decision making based on data, facts, and analytical findings across different parts of the organization.

Analyses and interprets collected data, spots trends, writes reports and recommendations and completes data modeling. Exercises judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques and procedures.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Data Governance & Validation Analyst to join our team. In this critical role, you'll help ensure the integrity, consistency, and quality of healthcare data across the organization.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Query and analyze large-scale healthcare datasets (e.g., claims, pharmacy, patient data) using SQL and other tools.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data definitions, ownership, and lineage.
• Design and build monitoring dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Databricks).
• Develop and maintain automated monitoring jobs to proactively track data quality, system performance, and analytic pipeline health.
• Work with big data platforms and tools to manage, process, and analyze high-volume, high-velocity healthcare data efficiently.
• Monitor data quality metrics and report anomalies or inconsistencies.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Assist in regulatory compliance efforts related to data management (e.g., HIPAA).
• Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of data definitions, validation processes, analytic methodologies, and project deliverables.
