Job Title : Electrician Foreman
Job Summary :
The Electrician Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of electricians and electrical crews on construction, maintenance, or industrial projects. This role ensures that electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all codes, standards, and project requirements. The Electrical Foreman acts as a liaison between management and field staff, providing leadership, training, and technical guidance to ensure high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of electrical crews.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan and direct electrical work.
- Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and wiring.
- Order materials, tools, and equipment needed for projects, while managing inventory and minimizing waste.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed work to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Provide hands-on assistance with complex electrical tasks as needed.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate electricians and apprentices to enhance skill development and productivity.
- Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and resolve issues.
- Maintain detailed records of work progress, labor hours, and material usage.
- Identify potential hazards and enforce safe work practices at all times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical or operational problems on job sites.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical systems preferred.Licensed electrician (Journeyman or Master, depending on state requirements).Proven experience in electrical installation, repair, and maintenance.Prior supervisory or leadership experience required.Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Physical Requirements :
