Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU night shift position requiring Epic experience and a valid NY nursing license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of a hospital
  • Night shift schedule from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Care for critically ill pediatric patients
  • Epic EMR is used and prior Epic experience is required
  • No blocked scheduling allowed
  • Competency testing for ICU nurses is required, with two attempts permitted
  • More than three call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination, and makeup shifts must be completed within six weeks
  • Radius rule in effect; no local candidates from specified counties within 50 miles allowed
  • Travel pairs are not allowed
  • RTO (requests for time off) must be included at time of application
  • May only apply to one position at a time

  • Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience required
  • Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
  • Prior experience with Epic EMR is required
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
  • U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration; Canadian SIN not accepted
  • Medical documentation required for flu exemption; personal or religious declinations not accepted
