Description :

The position is for a PCU RN for a 52-week assignment.

Travelers may request contracts ranging from 14 to 52 weeks based on individual need.

The unit will be assigned based on facility needs after clinical evaluation.

Current patient ratios are 1 : 5, with a goal of achieving 1 : 4.

Candidates are expected to float as necessary within their acuity level.

The unit specializes in the care of patients with pulmonary and other medical-related illnesses.

There are 20 telemetry beds in the unit, accommodating both general medical and renal patients.

Two ventilated patients can be taken at any given time in designated beds.

Special procedures, such as chest tube management and IV drips administration, will be part of the responsibilities.

The unit implements telemetry monitoring, although monitors remain stationed in the unit.

Candidates must manage blood products and central and peripheral lines, among other skills.

The goal is to provide excellent patient care while maintaining a team-oriented environment.

All candidates must adhere to compliance and safety protocols, including required vaccinations.

Travelers must work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, with specific requirements for winter holidays.
