Med / Surg RN Job Details – Madison, IN

Location : Madison, Indiana 47250 (Indiana nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) Unit

Employment Type : Travel Nurse (Locum Tenens)

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 26 / 2025 – End : 1 / 24 / 2026)

Nursing Shift : Night shifts, 7p-7a; every other weekend required

Shift Length : 12 hours

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2000-$2050

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana or compact state)

Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience (Med / Surg experience strongly preferred)

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing – ASN)

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments in the Med / Surg unit

Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans for medical-surgical patients

Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal outcomes

Monitor, document, and evaluate patient responses to clinical interventions and treatments

Educate patients and families throughout the continuum of care

Delegate and supervise tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel; serve as a mentor / preceptor to new staff

Promote teamwork and participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives within the healthcare facility

Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and participate in Practice Governance
