Overview

Lynx Systems Inc. is partnering with a leading real estate company to recruit a highly experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to support the coordination and execution of multiple ongoing and upcoming development projects. Based in Des Moines, IA , the company specializes in real estate development and investment, with a focus on revitalizing and managing residential and commercial properties.

This is a contract role, expected to last between six months to one year, designed to support our team through a high-demand period with tight timelines and multiple active sites. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards, working closely with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and municipal contacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent construction projects.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and local authorities to keep projects progressing smoothly.
  • Monitor schedules, budgets, and project milestones, proactively addressing risks and resolving delays.
  • Conduct regular site visits to review progress, ensure safety compliance, and maintain quality control.
  • Report regularly on project status to senior leadership, highlighting key issues, decisions, and opportunities.
  • Support permitting and inspection processes as needed.
  • Work with procurement and operations teams to secure and schedule materials, equipment, and resources efficiently.
  • Foster strong working relationships across departments to align construction priorities with broader business goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant Project Management experience in Construction or Real Estate Development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is an asset.
  • Proven experience managing construction projects in real estate development, particularly within residential and commercial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction methodologies, codes, and safety standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tight timelines and multiple priorities without compromising quality.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
  • Ability to work on-site and travel regularly between project locations throughout Iowa.
