Summary : Under general supervision of the Director of Nursing, this position is responsible for evaluating the quality of nursing care provided to individuals served and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. The role includes training, supporting, and collaborating with residential and vocational support staff to promote best practices and ensure consistent, person-centered care across all service areas.

Education and / or Experience : Associate degree from an accredited college or technical school required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related healthcare or community-based setting. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Language Skills : Demonstrates strong written communication skills, including the ability to compose routine emails, develop policies and procedures, document treatment protocols and assessment findings, and prepare professional correspondence. Possesses effective verbal communication skills to confidently present information to groups of stakeholders, staff, and organizational teams. Is proficient in documenting care, interpreting healthcare orders, and communicating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Mathematical Skills : Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations-addition, subtraction,
multiplication, and division-with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Competent in calculating
rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs. Must be able to accurately compute medication
dosages.
Reasoning Ability : Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills to assess situations, analyze infom1ation, and make sound clinical decisions to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Computer Skills : Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and able to navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin. Must possess or be willing to obtain and maintain certifications to train in First Aid / CPR, Medication Administration, and any other required curriculum.
Driving Requirements : Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record that meets the standards set forth
by the agency, and access to a reliable vehicle.
Other Skills and Abilities : Understanding of the unique healthcare needs and behavioral considerations of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (TDD).
