Friendly Auto Group is seeking a self-motivated, driven individual to join our dynamic team as an Automotive Technician. Friendly Ford of Geneva, a 6-time President's Award-Winning Dealership is composed of 22
- newly air-conditioned
- service bays, a mobile service department, and an extensive pick-up and delivery process for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for vehicles and a strong commitment to providing exceptional service. As an Automotive Technician, you will be eligible for
- flat rate pay
- and have the opportunity to bill for over 40 hours' worth of work in a 40-hour work week, which means more money for you!
- Duties
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
- Diagnose automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct thorough vehicle assessments to provide accurate auto estimates for repairs.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively in the repair process.
- Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs and repair options.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.
- Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes to provide accurate repair quotes.
- Ability to operate power tools safely in a workshop environment.
- Excellent customer service skills to enhance client relationships and satisfaction.
- Previous experience working in a dealership setting is preferred but not required.
