The Coordinator plays a central role in the CJR, supporting the day-to-day operations, programs, and strategic initiatives of the Center. This position provides key coordination support to CJR leadership and staffhelping manage events, track progress on strategic goals, and ensure effective communication and follow-through across projects. The Coordinator also manages CJR's administrative and financial systems, maintains accurate reporting, and serves as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, external partners, and community members. Salary : Pay range $24.90 - $26.89 Actual salary offered is determined by the candidate's experience, education, skills, and other factors, including internal equity and university funding resources. Job Description : Role Objectives :
- Provide administrative and coordination support to Program Leads for effective implementation of CJR programs and initiatives.
- Monitor CJR's project management system to track progress toward key results and objectives.
- Support administrative, finance, and donor relations functions to ensure smooth internal operations.
- Serve as a primary liaison for CJR with students, faculty, staff, campus departments, external partners, and other stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities :
Program & Event Coordination :
Coordinate and manage logistics for CJR programs and donor-related events (e.g., venue reservations, transportation, supplies, on-site support).Maintain key records and documentation to ensure compliance with PLNU's academic, legal, financial, and grant reporting requirements.Promote CJR programs through basic outreach and communications tasks (e.g., coordinating updates to web pages or social media).Project Management & Reporting :
Manage and maintain CJR's strategic plan dashboard, collaborating with staff to document progress toward objectives and key results. Track initiatives using CJR's project management system.Draft CJR's quarterly internal progress report for key university stakeholders.Coordinate leadership and staff meeting agendas, take minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items.Administration & Finance :
Oversee procurement of office and program-related supplies in coordination with program staff.Manage staff expense reports and corrections to ensure fiscal stewardship and compliance.Support donor communications logistics, including printing and mailing correspondence, fundraising campaigns, and occasional social media or website updates.Assist the Director of Operations with refining and maintaining office systems, policies, and procedures.Coordinate support for occasional projects essential to Center operations (e.g., staff hiring, accreditation processes).Staff, Student Worker & Volunteer Support :
Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and general support for CJR staff, student workers, and volunteers.Collaborate with Program Leads and the Director of Operations to ensure student workers, and volunteers are well-integrated into the team and their roles.Essential Qualifications :
Associates Degree or comparable education and / or professional work experienceAbility to engage and communicate (interpersonally, verbally, written) with a wide range of individuals and groups from different perspectives and backgrounds.Proven skills in administration, coordination, and project support for meeting organization goals (budgets / financials, operations, strategy, alignment, etc.)Strong and warm interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility.Proficiency in creating, interpreting, organizing, and presenting information (utilizing databases, spreadsheets, presentation tools)Excellent organizational and administrative skills with a systematic approach, including accuracy and attention to detail.Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and keep abreast of changing schedules and developments.Knowledge and experience working with a diverse population is preferred.Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement. The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment : computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Ability to read documents, email and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone. Ability to stand, stoop, push, pull, and move up to 10 lbs throughout the day.
