Summary :
The Program Specialist provides direct, non-therapeutic services for the Child Abuse Prevention Program (CAPP) and works closely with other program staff and / or volunteers.
Essential Functions
Deliver program presentations to students, parents, and teachers in school and community-based settings.

Education : Bachelor’s degree
Work Experience : One year of experience in program area.

Work Environment
Work is typically performed in an office environment, employee’s home, or in a school / camp setting.
Physical Demands
This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The position may require standing for more than an hour at a time.
At times, staff must transport heavy portfolios and paperwork weighing as much as 50 pounds. The potential exists for highly stressful and emotionally-charged encounters with clients and / or family members.
Travel
Will require travel to schools, camps, other agencies / organizations. Programs are presented throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area, as well as, outlying areas, leading to substantial travel requirements that may exceed 50% of time. Must have access to private, reliable transportation.
