Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Cath Lab Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 03 / 2025 Duration : 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 10 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1-2 years of diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications. Responsibilities Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab within a large, short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching Level III trauma facility Day shifts, 4x10 hours (7 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM) with on-call approximately one day per week and every 4th to 5th weekend Patient population is adults requiring cardiac stent placement, catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, PCI, PTCA, PA line insertion, right and left heart cath, temporary pacemakers Duties include scrubbing, monitoring, circulating, and maintaining a sterile field for cardiac procedures Expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed Uses Excellian / Epic charting system; prior Epic / Excellian experience required Scrubs provided by the unit Responsibilities include monitoring and assisting with a variety of cardiac interventions and procedures, ensuring accurate patient assessment and sterile technique First-time travelers considered if they have at least 2 years cath lab experience with scrubbing and monitoring responsibilities Pre-start modules are required, with up to 8 hours of online training recorded by transcript Travelers must be gone at least 3 months from last shift if previously employed as perm or per diem staff RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days for the contract Must complete Minnesota state fingerprint background check with no exceptions Onsite parking available at a flat rate per hour Requirements Minimum 1-2 years recent experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required Experience required in cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement / removal, arrhythmia interpretation, PCI, PTCA, PA line insertion, right and left heart catheterization, scrub procedures, and temporary pacemakers Proficiency in equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site preparation, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, and vascular closure systems Ability to accurately monitor, perform as a room circulator, and maintain sterile technique Epic / Excellian charting experience required Pending license accepted; valid state license required if applicable Must provide at least one supervisor reference for consideration Locals accepted for radiology positions only; must live greater than 100 miles from the facility for travel eligibility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624576.
