Position Overview :

As a Sharing Place Liaison , you’ll play a vital role in supporting our food pantry delivery programs (Silver Box and Gleaners Home Delivery) and broader Sharing Place operations. From coordinating volunteers and creating delivery routes to packing food boxes and stocking pantry shelves, no two days are the same, and your contributions will feed hope throughout Indianapolis.

What You'll Do :

• Lead Silver Box and Gleaners Home Delivery Operations : Receive client orders, pack food boxes, and coordinate smooth, efficient deliveries.
• Manage Volunteers : train and support volunteers to ensure a positive and organized experience every shift.
• Plan and Organize Routes : Create effective delivery routes and ensure our volunteers have the tools they need to succeed.
• Support Pantry Operations : Stock shelves, rotate inventory (using FIFO), and keep products fresh, safe, and ready for distribution.
• Keep Things Clean & Safe : Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace (including vehicles and storage areas).
• Maintain Vehicles : Schedule regular maintenance and ensure volunteer drivers are trained, licensed, and safe.
• Pitch In Where Needed : Support Sharing Place with other duties during your assigned shifts.
