Job Role and Responsibility : AMD, Inc. is hiring Field Applications Engineers to Support OEM and ODM partners as they define and develop new platforms based on AMD technology. Support global lab infrastructure, which is required to enable development activity, performance assessment, and debug efforts with internal and external partners. Work with global Field Applications team to set up, manage, and debug systems needed to support customer development activity. Responsible for desktop and server hardware. Install various OS / Hypervisors on x86 systems. Safely lift fully populated server chassis into high and low-rack space. Support FAE Lab Engineering team in building and maintaining the lab. Develop software solutions and tools needed to optimize the lab. Prepare server, client, and other hardware for engineering use. Work with PC and server hardware.

Qualifications : Degree required

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Specific skills required : The following skills are required :

Position requires experience in the following :

• 1.PC and server hardware;
• 2.Scripting with Linux;
• 3.Programming languages : Bash, Perl, or Python;
• 4.GitHub;

5.Improving UX and security of products; and

6.Software development lifecycle.

Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, project, assistantship, or internship experience.
