Bookkeeper / Project Accountant

Bookkeeper / Project Accountant responsibilities :

Planning, directing, and coordinating accounting operational functions

Annual budgeting and forecasting

Month end closing responsibilities

Preparation of financial statements

Work with auditors

Work closely with leadership team

Ensure compliance

Bookkeeper / Accountant background requirements :

B.S. degree in accounting, finance, or related field, OR

Credentials of a CPA (preferred)

Minimum of three years of accounting experience

Experience working in the Construction world is preferred

Strong financial management and business acumen

Current experience in Quickbooks desktopnot online

Texas Sales Taxunderstanding how to charge customers and filing the reports online with the Comptroller

Paychex payroll experience

An understanding of AIA pay applications and Cost Accounting

Competence in reading and understanding financial statements : Profit and Loss and Balance sheetA / R and A / P experience

Ability and willingness to follow directions

Gets along well with others and has a pleasant demeanor

The company needs someone who is organized, stays organized and doesn't work in a "mess"
