We are seeking a Capital Equipment Technician to support the setup, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electromechanical systems and assemblies. This role requires strong technical aptitude, hands-on experience with test fixtures and diagnostic tools, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
As a key member of our operations team, you will ensure that our large capital equipment meets performance specifications, collaborate with engineering on new product introductions, and uphold the highest standards of workmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
Work confidently with electrical, electromechanical, and mechanical test fixtures; apply hands-on experience to support future design improvements.
Execute testing procedures based on specifications, prints, drawings, and diagrams; contribute to the development of future testing methods through practical insights.
Perform testing and troubleshooting of components, subassemblies, and complete systems; carry out rework as needed based on test results.
Prepare detailed technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical issues; apply mathematical analysis to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
Utilize software tools to follow work instructions, investigate Bills of Material (BOMs), review specifications, and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
Assist in selecting and setting up specialized test equipment as required.
Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to optimize testing technologies and strategies for upcoming products.
Adapt responsibilities as needed to meet evolving business requirements.

Take proactive responsibility for reporting quality issues or defects to management to ensure timely corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree or equivalent 2-year technical diploma preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience testing and troubleshooting large military platforms or industrial capital equipment at the component and system level.
Proven ability to perform disassembly and reassembly of large mechanical systems.
Proficient in the use of oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and diagnostic tools.
Experience installing and configuring computer hardware and software.
Skilled in using common hand tools; strong mechanical assembly skills and familiarity with industry terminology.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and work instruction software.
Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards is a plus.
Pay Details : $25.00 to $32.00 per hour
