Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position requiring a VA or compact RN license and Epic charting experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit at a community hospital
  • Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (19 : 00-07 : 00)
  • Requires floating within scope as needed
  • Patient care documented using Epic EMR, Epic experience required
  • Locals are accepted at the same rate with no radius requirement
  • Completion of orientation modules during the first week is required
  • Must provide requested time off details up front; no guaranteed time off other than approved requests
  • First-time travelers with at least 1-2 years of experience are welcome
  • Return staff must have been gone for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • Facility is a drug and smoke-free workplace
  • Candidates may not start with pending fingerprint results (required for ER and Psych only)
  • Holiday coverage is not guaranteed and may be required

  • Active VA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 12 months Med / Surg Tele RN experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (diploma, associate, or BSN) with ACEN or CCNE accreditation
  • Two professional references required
  • Must not have been employed at this health system within the previous 12 months
  • Compliance with facility’s natural nail policy
