Job Summary And Responsibilities

As an ER Nurse at CHI Williston Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, youll be the first touchpoint to the people in our community during health emergencies.

No two days in emergency nursing are ever the same. Youre a multitasker who can react quickly as youll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while youre providing emergency triage to others. As part of our ER team, youll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients by performing IV starts, foley catheter insertions, or aiding providers with chest tube insertions.

To thrive as an ER nurse, you should exhibit teamwork, professionalism, critical thinking skills, and a willingness to take on additional projects such as patient experience initiatives. More than anything, you should be energetic and motivated to provide quality care to all of our patients, maintaining their dignity at every step.

• Performs triage by assessing patients health and continuously monitor; detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and take action as necessary; and quickly and accurately assess patient care needs
• Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
• Sets priorities in plan of care based on assessed needs and anticipates personnel, supplies, and equipment required to care for patients based on assessed needs
• Works collaboratively with provider to provide exceptional care
• Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures
• Provides patient and family education
• Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
• Maintains order, stock, and cleanliness of all areas in the Emergency Department
• Practices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies
• Utilizes resources appropriately and follows facility guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Range

$35.62 - $52.99 / hour
