Safety Support Associate [OVERNIGHT SHIFT] (JR 4792)

PATH is seeking a Safety Support Associate to join the Yale Interim Housing team in Santa Ana, CA. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with overnight hours. Salary range : $21.71 to $26.36 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the interim housing site and build rapport with guests.
• Assist with ensuring the overall safety of the site through observation, de-escalation strategies, and ongoing participant engagement.
• Coordinate with case management staff and contracted security agencies to ensure safety onsite.
• Monitor security systems and conduct regular rounds of the grounds and facilities; communicate any discrepancies or concerns.
• Assist the Associate Director with drafting written documentation and correspondence regarding site safety and security.
• Respond to security concerns or crisis situations as they arise, utilizing non-violent crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation techniques in collaboration with other staff.

The position typically requires standing and walking; duties may include standing, sitting, walking, stooping, climbing stairs, driving, reaching, typing, talking, and hearing.
