This is a combined posting for an Medical Laboratory Technician & Medical Laboratory Scientist The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Performs assays accurately and timely on patient samples using a variety of automated and manual testing procedures to aid the physician in patient diagnosis and treatment. Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental and infectious control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.

Performs test analysis on patient specimens including blood, urine, culture samples and other body fluids. Performs test analysis on quality control samples, proficiency samples and performs equipment maintenance.

• Associate's Degree Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent.
• upon hire : National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology. Or
• upon hire : National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists. Or
• upon hire : National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology.
