Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Compensation

The pay for this position is $24.45 per hour.Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM, with potential overtime.

Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician

ResponsibilitiesPerform sterile compounding, including TPN preparation using a Pinnacle CompounderWork under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill IV prescriptions and prepackage medicationsMaintain compliance with USP standards and all applicable pharmacy laws and regulationsAssist in maintaining accurate patient and prescription recordsSupport pharmacy billing functions by entering data into the computer systemMaintain cleanroom and equipment calibration logs; ensure aseptic conditions are met at all timesAssist with receiving, rotating, and tracking inventory, including posting lot numbers and expiration datesCollaborate with the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to uphold a clean and safe work environmentSterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician RequirementsMassachusetts Pharmacy Technician License – RequiredSterile Compounding Experience – RequiredAbility to Create TPNs Using Pinnacle Compounder – RequiredMust pass aseptic technique validation and fingertip testing before beginning workHigh School Diploma or GEDAttendance is mandatory for the first 90 daysSterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience with USP sterile compounding standardsStrong attention to detail and reliability in a fast-paced environment
