Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to assist our client, a well-established firm in Stratford, CT, on a temporary assignment with a strong focus on discovery and document review. This position requires someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing large volumes of case materials efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting litigation teams through the discovery process and be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and summarize documents, depositions, and other case evidence.
  • Maintain case files and ensure all discovery deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and opposing counsel to exchange discovery documents.
  • Utilize document management systems to track case activity and maintain version control.
  • Support trial preparation and provide general litigation support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, with significant exposure to discovery and litigation support.
  • Strong knowledge of discovery rules, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
  • All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status. We consider all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with state and local laws, including the California Fair Chance Act, City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance. For unincorporated Los Angeles county, to the extent our customers require a background check for certain positions, the Company faces a significant risk to its business operations and business reputation unless a review of criminal history is conducted for those specific job positions.
