Must-Have :

Must have recent bedside experience within the last 6 months.

Must have experience in managing ventilators, titration of pressors, and insulin drips.

Description :

This position is for a Step Down Unit Nurse.

The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients in a high-acuity step-down unit.

Patient ratios are 1 : 4.

The nurse must have experience in titration of vasopressors, sedation medications, management of arterial lines, and patients with tracheostomies.

Candidates should be proficient in managing cardiac arrhythmias and chest tubes.

The role requires being part of an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy and respiratory services.

The nurse will float to lower acuity areas as needed.

Two weekend shifts are required every other weekend.

Experience with EPIC charting system is preferred.

This facility treats adult patients with various acute medical conditions.

The daily census typically consists of around 25 patients.

All candidates must adhere to specific procedures and equipment requirements as part of patient care.

References are preferred at the time of application.

Candidates will need to demonstrate expertise in all required skill sets.
