- Position Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Contract\n
- Shift : 12-hour Nights (every other weekend & major holidays required)\n
- Hours per Week : 36\n
- Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 14 / 2026)\n
- Patient Ratio : 1 : 3-4 (may vary with staffing)\n
- Scrub Colors : Navy blue, white, or combination\n
- Estimated Weekly Pay : $1880–$2020\n\nPCU RN Qualifications\n
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state (required)\n
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications (required)\n
- Must pass EKG exam at orientation (study guide provided)\n
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (required)\n
- 6+ months of acute care hospital experience (preferred)\n
- Experience with cardiac drips (excluding vasopressors), chest tubes, and hemodynamic monitoring\n
- Ability to float to other hospital units as needed\n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills\n\nPCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities\n
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for cardiac and stepdown patients\n
- Safely administer medications and monitor patient responses in accordance with hospital protocols\n
- Coordinate patient care and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams\n
- Advocate for patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives\n
- Manage patients with complex cardiac conditions, multi-system organ failure, and multisystem trauma\n
- Operate advanced clinical equipment : Alaris pumps, Hoyer lift, BiPAP, Sara Stedy, PCA, GlucoStabilizer, and bedside cardiac monitors\n
- Float to other units to support stepdown patient care as needed\n
