We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Distribution Manager (2nd Shift) in Denver, CO.

Job Summary
As a Distribution Manager (2nd Shift), you will supervise hourly personnel in the receipt, processing, packaging, storage, order filling and shipment of parts to Caterpillar dealers, Distribution Centers and Regional Distribution Centers to support the end users of Caterpillar equipment.

What You Will Do
Contributing to the development of an effective work force by engaging and mentoring employees to follow all established work processesLeading teams working on problem resolution and process improvementMaintaining high employee morale by ensuring established work standards are deliveredEnsuring parts inventory is received, processed and stored in a safe, efficient and timely mannerResponding to dealer calls and making immediate decisions to resolve the issueProviding necessary on the job trainingImproving productivity and quality by taking ownership of the processConducts daily safety meetings to ensure that employees have the proper equipment to perform their jobs safelyProvides training or counseling to correct any unsafe behavior observed by those who do not follow set work standardsMust be able to work rotating after hour calls on the weekend.Preparing and maintaining necessary paperworkWhat You Have (Required Skills)
Leadership : Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.Coaching Others : Knowledge of coaching and mentoring concepts and methods; ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals in learning and improving effectiveness.Customer Service Management : Knowledge of customer service priorities and ability to utilize tools and techniques for maintaining an environment where all understand, and are committed to providing excellent service to internal and external customers.Materials Handling and Management : Knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage, transportation and handling of raw and hazardous materials.Operational Functions : Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.Distribution Center Management : Knowledge of distribution processes, issues and considerations; ability to effectively manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory to stores and / or customers.What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills)
2-year college degree. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 3 years of experience in at least one of the following : operations, transportation, logistics planning / engineering, purchasing, parts ordering and / or inventory management.1 year of experience in at least one of the following : operations, transportation, logistics planning / engineering, purchasing, parts ordering and / or inventory managementMicrosoft Office application experienceExperience working with EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)Strong leadership, initiative and ability to develop working relationships with othersPrevious experience in a warehouse environmentExcellent interpersonal skillsWhat You Will Get

Summary Pay Range : $71,040.00 - $106,440.00
