Overview
We're looking for an Air Quality Consultant / Air permit to lead Air Permitting and compliance projects for clients in the power, industrial, manufacturing, commercial, and transportation sectors. This is a high-impact role with a wide variety of project work with Environmental permitting, and strong potential for advancement within our growing Environmental Services team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare air permit application packages and supporting documentation.
- Conduct site assessments and inspections to ensure air quality compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Estimate emissions (including GHGs and emissions during maintenance / start-up / shutdown)
- Manage project scopes, timelines, budgets, and client communication.
- Putting together complex permitting applications for a wide variety of projects
- Support development of multi-media environmental plans, including :
- Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans
- EPCRA filings
- Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
- Support other environmental compliance work as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree a plus).7+ years of experience in air permitting / compliance (10+ years preferred).Prior consulting experience in environmental permitting and complianceSolid understanding of the Clean Air Act, including :New Source Review (NSR) / Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD)National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP)New Source Performance Standards (NSPS)Title V and VI permittingFamiliarity with air dispersion modeling tools (AERMOD, AERSCREEN, CALPUFF, etc.) is a plus.Experience or interest in sustainability initiatives is a bonus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).J-18808-Ljbffr
