Legal Analyst
Location : New York, NY (Hybrid – 4 Days In-Office / 1 Remote)
Schedule : Monday–Friday, Standard Business Hours
Classification : Full-Time
Compensation : $100,000–$160,000 base salary + 20% bonus
Hiring Focus : Open to high-performing candidates with either :
- 2+ years as a corporate paralegal from a top-tier law firm (trainable), OR
- Career corporate paralegal from a hedge fund or asset manager with contracts, governance, and fund operations experience
What You’ll Do :
As a Legal Analyst, you’ll serve as a critical team member supporting legal, compliance, and governance functions across the firm and its affiliated entities. You’ll be deeply involved in contract management, fund documentation, legal operations, and corporate governance, helping streamline legal workflows and ensuring organizational compliance and readiness.
Key Responsibilities :
Contract Management & Recordkeeping :Manage the lifecycle of various agreements (e.g., vendor contracts, NDAs, leases, ISDAs)Track approvals, renewals, key obligations, and maintain organized documentationCorporate Governance :Maintain legal entity records, structure charts, and assist with filings and annual obligations for management company, affiliates, and fund entitiesBoard & Committee Support :Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, resolutions, and materials for fund and management company board / committee meetingsMaintain governance calendars and follow up on deliverablesFund Documentation & Regulatory Support :Assist with preparation, review, and filing of fund offering documents, side letters, and investor disclosuresTrack investor obligations and regulatory filingsLegal Operations & Process Optimization :Develop templates, checklists, and calendars to improve efficiencySupport implementation of legal tech and knowledge management systems (including AI tools)Assist with legal project execution and ad hoc initiativesInvoice Management & Budget Tracking :Review legal / compliance invoices, track department spend, and liaise with Accounts Payable and external vendorsWhat You’ll Bring :
Experience :Either : 2+ years of corporate paralegal experience at a top-tier law firm, with strong foundational trainingOr : career paralegal with in-house experience at a hedge fund or asset management firm, including deep knowledge of contracts, governance, and fund operationsEducation :Bachelor’s degree requiredSkills & Traits :Outstanding organizational, time management, and multitasking skillsExceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all workStrong communication skills (written and verbal)High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentialityTechnologically agile, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and eagerness to learn project management and AI toolsThis is a high-visibility opportunity for a polished, driven professional to make an impact within a prestigious and fast-paced environment.
