Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, operating, and implementing machine processes while maintaining company safety and quality expectations. Additionally, you will manage related inventory and keep accurate records of daily production. Job Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Will supervise / lead a small team
  • Ensure mat kits are cut correct, precise and on time for the sewers
  • Responsible for identifying defects in the material; deciding if product should be kept or rejected.
  • Managing inventory; recording daily count of material
  • Provide timelines to clients and ensure orders are going out in on time.
  • Ensure supplies are in stock and re-order as needed
  • Maintaining machinery (roll table, CNC table and the sewing machines) to ensure reliable performance
  • Operate machine and perform cutting and sewing operations for fabrics and other textile materials for production according to design, batch order and scheduling requirements while maintain a high degree of workmanship
  • Acquire proficient knowledge of standard textile materials to ensure proper recognition of materials in production.
  • Follows all safety rules and if at any time has a question about safety, asks the Department Manager.
  • Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
  • Oversee the machines; ensure they are executing the correct tasks and make the necessary changes to for improved results
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Department Manager.

Experience / Requirements :

  • High school diploma is required
  • Associates Degree, certificate or apprenticeship program preferred
  • Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
  • Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD / CAM
  • Experience with Sketch-up and Rhino software.
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
  • Good communication abilities
  • Factory related experience in shipping, receiving or production function preferred but not required
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to respond to time-critical issues and work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to read and understand job orders and numbers
  • Excellent work ethic; ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
  • Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast paced environment Physical Requirements / Working Conditions :
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb and move about the facility
  • Regularly utilizes depth perception, peripheral vision and close focus
  • Regularly operates a computer, computer accessories.
  • Required to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and consistently 30lb
