We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Integration Engineer for GRAIL Lab to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX .
If selected you will :
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and Systems Integration Engineer for the integration activities of the Gateway Ready Avionic Integration Lab (GRAIL), a critical integration effort of the Gateway Program which will return to the Moon
- Collaborate with lab personnel, partners, providers, and testing stakeholders to understand interface and testing requirements
- Leverage interface knowledge to assure lab design provides the proper interfaces and fidelity to satisfy testing objectives
- Develop expertise on lab verification efforts and ensure facility is applicable for assigned testing
- Assist in lab equipment testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure equipment meets requirement and is satisfactorily integrated
- Maintain strict documentation of integration processes, equipment specifications, configurations, and testing results
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Provide support to lab personnel and external customers on integrated systems and their specifications
- Continuously reassess documents, policies, procedures for future configurations of the lab
- Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews
- Communicate and organize in order to efficiently work within a team environment
- Perform other duties as required
