Job Summary
The Field Team Manager works closely with the Emerging Technology Translations (ETT) Project Manager and Training and Support Specialist to curate and manage emerging technology (AI & NLP-based) Bible translation field teams, specifically in the SE Asia region. The role oversees a range of language translation projects and teams and provides timely insights from the field.

Work closely with the ETT Project Manager to execute project milestones, timelines, and quality assurance methods.Curate and interview regional translation project field team candidates.Manage field team onboarding, training, and logistics. Teams include post-editors, proofreaders, and mentors.Research and engage with regional partners to integrate their expertise and resources seamlessly into translation projects.Bridge communications and project directives between ETT department and field teams.Determine and secure the location of field team training, collaborative translation model, and other considerations necessary for successful project execution and results.Research, coordinate, and manage corresponding regional community partners for the community review phase of translation projects.Provide up-to-date regional and team cultural briefings to the ETT Project Manager and / or ETT Sr. Director to inform strategic decisions related to security, socio-economic factors, translation platforms, and work locations.Hold teams responsible for meeting budget, timelines, and deliverables.Provide project progress reports as requested, including translation tool feedback, and resource needs to ETT Project Manager.Attend project update meetings as requested by the ETT Project Manager or directed by ETT Sr. Director.Other requests in coordination with ETT Project Manager or directed by ETT Sr. Director.Participate in Daily Prayer and weekly Staff Gatherings.Signing authority of $3,000.Other duties as required.Required Skills / Abilities
Expert-level proficiency in written and spoken English.Capable of preparing detailed project reports and delivering impactful presentations.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, which requires discretion and diplomacy.Strong cross-cultural experience and the ability to interact with individuals all over the world. Keen ability to understand and interact with a variety of cultures, personalities, and business etiquette across the globe.Good judgment, problem-solving, and ability to work with minimal supervision within a remote team.Proven ability to prioritize, work independently, and meet multiple tight deadlines.Must be a team player with a calm and flexible approach to handling pressure and stress while adapting to the needs of the team and project.Results-oriented ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects.Education and Experience
5+ years of experience in successfully developing and managing multicultural teams.Understanding of the Bible translation process, its challenges, and the role of technology to improve, facilitate, and accelerate it.Experience working with multiple projects simultaneously.Demonstrated skill in planning, time management, and maintaining structured workflows.Current passport with the ability to travel immediately.Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to work hours that align with the time zone of the region supported.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Ability to travel to various locations locally, regionally, and globally.
The ability for up to 30% overnight travel to various locations locally, regionally, and globally.

To be successful in this role, must have advanced Excel and comfort utilizing multiple applications.Ability to drive and monitor project timelines and provide regular updates and communication with staff, consultants, and external constituents.Ability to manage and prioritize workload in a self-sufficient manner.Proven experience with customer service or care role preferred.Proactive and flexible.
