Our project portfolio includes many complete streets and trail projects in the mid-Atlantic region including the Delaware River Trail in Philadelphia, the I-95 CAP in Center City, numerous Transportation Alternatives projects in the Delaware Valley, and developing Vision Zero solutions on our roadways.

Responsibilities

We seek a Transportation Project Manager with experience designing and managing linear transportation projects. The position is ideally suited for a candidate with experience in both design and project management of civil design involving urban streets, multi-use trails, and other multimodal facilities. Experience with roadway or highway design involving PennDOT, NJDOT and / or DelDOT is also preferred.

The position will focus mainly on managing and leading the design of multi-modal transportation projects involving signing and pavement marking, grading, erosion and sedimentation control, traffic control improvements, and local and state permitting. The individual will also have an opportunity, if interested, to assist with bicycle and pedestrian planning, including region-wide active transportation plans, corridor master plans and trail routing and feasibility studies.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, assisting our engineering team with the following :

• Project Management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and invoicing
• Mentoring junior staff as needed
• Performing and reviewing designs, report writing, specification development, and permitting
• Coordination with internal project team members within the Philadelphia office and possibly across several regional NV5 offices, as well as subconsultants, public agencies, clients, participation in project meetings, and assisting other teams in the office as needed.
• The ideal candidate would possess the skills and desire to lead business development, including professional networking, meeting with potential clients, and proposal writing, and generally enjoy helping us continue growing a team alongside other dynamic leaders passionate about improving our communities through planning and design.

This is a full-time position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
