A Day in the Life : We are dedicated to making sure that every patient gets the best product – when they need it. In this exciting role as a Group Lead IV at our Dexter, Michigan production site, you will help lead the Catheter area. Our products are part of the extracorporeal life support solutions for long-term ECMO. The catheter function is to drain and return blood through the ECMO to the circulatory system, helping sustain lives of patients across the globe.

Shift Schedule

  • 1st shift – Mon-Fri, 6 : 00 am-2 : 00 pm
  • 2nd shift – Mon-Fri, 2 : 00 pm – 10 : 00 pm
  • 3rd shift – Sun-Thu, 10 : 00 pm – 6 : 00 am

Off shifts qualify for additional shift pay differential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production team work process, equipment testing, manufacturing, disassembly, and reassembly as assigned by supervisor.
  • Prioritize use of operators according to build schedule.
  • Communicate process issues and provide status updates to team supervisor.
  • Coach operators / assemblers on production and problem-solving skills, performing technical review and machinery setup / breakdown as needed.
  • Ensure Medtronic company quality and safety standards are upheld.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Firm grasp of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word) and basic to advanced computer skills.
  • Demonstrated record of excellent performance in meeting high standards of quality, quantity, leadership and dependability (attendance and punctuality).
  • Well organized and possess good record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve while keeping prioritization of tasks in a fast-moving environment.
  • Prior experience providing supervision or mentorship to lower-level production staff.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player.
  • Experienced in training and onboarding; ability to provide process improvement recommendations to supervisors.
  • People leadership within a medical manufacturing environment.
  • Comfortable leading stand-up meetings with team members and speaking to escalations in Tier meetings.
  • Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience.

    Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD) : $50,400.00 – $75,600.00.

    This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

    The base salary range applies across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification / education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States.
