Home Health of Western Colorado is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare subsidiary of the Volunteers of America parent organization.

Pay : $80k - $110k annually

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm, occasional weekends.

The Home Health Administrator provides the management expertise for achieving the goals and objectives of the program in accordance with the mission of the organization. Must be aware of conditions, events and issues that affect the community in which the program operates. The Director of Support Services' responsibilities can be divided into six broad categories : planning; organization; operations / management ; financial resources; human resources; and leadership. The Director of Support Services must ensure the home health agency employs qualified personnel, including assuring the development of personnel qualifications and policies. An individual is pre-designed in writing to fill the Director of Support Services role in the absence of the Director of Support Services (including the clinical manager) and must be qualified to do so. There must also be included in writing, the organizational structure and lines of authority and services furnished. The Director of Support Services is appointed by and reports to the governing body and is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the home health agency. The roles of the governing body, Director of Support Services and clinical director may not be delegated. Delegated means relinquishing the day-to-day responsibility for the operation of the home health agency to another person or organization on an on-going basis (does not include periodic " acting" employees in the absence of the Director of Support Services or clinical manager).

The volatility of the health services environment requires that the Director of Support Services demonstrate a strong proficiency in the ability to manage and effect change. The Director of Support Services can best achieve and sustain an influential position of shaping the structure and dynamics of the program by developing sharp communication skills, thinking proactively rather than reactively, networking with diversified community and professional representatives, serving in advisory and board positions, and being active in health-related service organizations.

Travel as required to facilitate needs of those living in the community.
