TerraVest Tanks MI, LLC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Operator Welder to join our team! The ideal candidate will be utilizing MIG and Sub-Arc welding techniques in the manufacturing of high-quality, durable propane tanks while adhering to safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading producer in the propane tank manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities :
- Weld and fabricate 500-gallon and 1000-gallon LPG tanks according to engineering design specifications.
- Use MIG and Sub-Arc welding techniques to produce high-quality welds that meet ASME pressure vessel standards.
- Perform visual and mechanical inspections of welds to verify the their quality.
- Ensure all welds meet company standards for appearance, quality, and safety.
- Follow proper welding procedures and safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of welding equipment and tools.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient workflows and timely completion of tank manufacturing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper handling and storage of welding materials, equipment and tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the production supervisor or management team.

Requirements :
Qualifications and Skills :
Proven experience as a welder, preferably in the propane tank or heavy fabrication industry.Strong proficiency in MIG welding and Sub-Arc welding techniques.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.Knowledge of propane tank manufacturing and safety standards is an asset.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other team members.Physical stamina and ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, lifting, and operating welding equipment.Preferred Qualifications :
Certification in welding (e.g., AWS or equivalent).Previous experience in tank manufacturing or related industries.Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control processes in welding.
