Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities of the assigned WV project to ensure goals and objectives are met within the prescribed timeframe, budget, and scope.
• Create and manage project schedules, integrating key aspects and deliverables into a master schedule.
• Collaborate with Product Planning and Business unit teams for initial model direction and iterative development to meet program goals.
• Work with the PD Unit / Department manager to identify work plans and resource allocations for each project phase and secure commitments within the design team.
• Facilitate weekly project status meetings, monthly model reviews with executives and cross-functional management, and project gate meetings.
• Provide frequent status updates and technical guidance to engineers to avoid schedule or resource conflicts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related issues and questions.
• Perform component or vehicle section design as needed using CAD / CAE tools.
• Chair fabrication tooling / capital approval meetings and manage capital funds sign-off processes.
• Create and monitor testing problem lists, manage prototype test phases, and oversee part procurement and delivery plans.
• Support QFD evaluation event preparations and meeting facilitation.
• Manage project budget (costs / tooling) with the cost planning group and participate in cost-down activities.
• Conduct drawing checks prior to prototype release, fabrication, and instruction materials.
• Coordinate CE review and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, Reliability, Service, Styling, and Accessories divisions as needed.
• BOM management and development of design validation plans for new technology.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
