Do you love diagnosing a stubborn CNC fault? Can you plan a PM, fabricate a fixture, and mentor a tech—then pivot to an HVAC or hydraulic issue without missing a beat? If that sounds like you, read on.

What you will do

  • Own maintenance for production equipment and the facility—spanning HVAC, hydraulics, and electrical.
  • Set priorities, schedule repairs / PMs / installs, and align plans with production demand.
  • Lead troubleshooting and repair of CNC lathes, mills, hobbing machines, and saws.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance is completed on time and meets spec.
  • Enforce lockout / tagout practices every time.
  • Design / fabricate tooling and fixtures to improve uptime and safety.
  • Order and manage required tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Create / update SOPs and verify team adherence.
  • Adjust procedures to keep pace with schedule changes.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and production records.
  • Coordinate with peer supervisors across departments.
  • Roll up your sleeves to perform hands-on maintenance when needed.
  • Hire, coach, and develop team members; foster integrity, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Implement and uphold operational and personnel policies.
  • Take on other duties as assigned.

What you know

  • Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • CNC machining technologies, assemblies, and building / facility systems.
  • CNC / mechanical diagnostics and repair; familiarity with building, electrical, and mechanical trades.
  • How to read schematics, prints, and manuals for mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Fabrication approaches for machine repair.
  • Use of electrical test gear to isolate and fix problems.
  • Electrical / electronic fundamentals, PLC controls, and computerized components of CNC / manual machines.
  • PLC troubleshooting, reading, and ladder logic.
  • Welding and cutting torch techniques; light fabrication.
  • CNC programming and operation.
  • What you bring

  • 5+ years maintaining and repairing manufacturing machinery, including installations.
  • Associate degree in machine maintenance / repair or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • Post-high school electronics training.
  • Post-high school welding coursework (1+ credit preferred).
  • Formal fabrication training (a plus).
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls and Haas equipment (desired).
  • Deep electrical troubleshooting background.
  • Electrician certification (a plus).
  • Exposure to paper machines, CNCs, printing presses, or similar processing machinery (a plus).
  • Windows PC proficiency.
  • Basic+ welding knowledge.
  • Forklift operating certification (a plus).
  • License

    Valid Driver’s license with no minor moving violations in the most recent 36 months and no major violations or suspensions in the most recent 60 months.
