job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMechanical Technician III Location : Compressor Facility – Between Mentone, TX and Jal, NM (Remote Site) Schedule : 14 / 14 Rotation Man Camp, Truck, and Computer Provided Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician III to perform daily maintenance on compressors and mechanical systems at a remote facility located between Mentone, TX and Jal, NM. This role focuses on routine equipment maintenance (not major overhauls or tear-downs) and requires strong experience with CAT 3606 and 3608 machines. Key Responsibilities Estimate workloads and establish job completion timelines Assist mechanical engineers in planning and testing mechanical components and equipment (engines, controls, compressors, etc.) Support preparation of proposals and cost estimates as needed Actively use all on-the-job safety tools and participate in safety processes Review job packs, identify safety risks, and ensure proper mitigation before starting work Execute daily maintenance work as planned Record technical history in systems such as the Global Reliability Tool (GRT) and other data sheets Request work permits and escalate if permits are not issued in a timely manner Perform daily maintenance on compressors and other facility equipment to ensure reliable operations Required Skills & Qualifications Relevant discipline certifications (preferred) or equivalent professional experience Minimum 12-15 years of mechanical technician or related field experience with compressors and associated oil & gas facility equipment strongly preferred Strong communication skills; able to clearly describe field conditions and remediation steps Ability to work independently and as part of a team in remote field conditions Capable of adapting to heavy workloads, tight deadlines, and shifting priorities Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and recordkeeping Powered by JazzHR
Compensation :
- $45-55 / Hr.
