Job Summary
Our team of drivers are key ambassadors of Golden Harvest Food Bank. As a Class B Truck Driver, you are responsible for safely and efficiently operating vehicles over an established route; collecting and delivering products. This position receives, store and distributes products and exhibits excellent customer service with the public, our donors, and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reads schedules, work orders, shipping information or requisitions ensuring efficiencyMaintains truck log according to state and federal regulations & mileage loggingConsistently communicates with Logistic Supervisor and Inventory SupervisorInspects truck and maintains cleanliness of inside and outside of truckCommunicates all repair needs and / damage to Logistics Manager in a timely mannerSafely secure and transport donated food from donors to designated distribution sites, always using proper food handling techniquesActs as a liaison between agencies, donors, and / or clients and Golden Harvest Food BankEnsures contents are properly secured inside vehicles to prevent damageMaintains positive relationships with food donors and recipientsFully understands how to operate and safely drive assigned vehiclesObtain necessary signatures upon completion of pick-ups or deliveriesMaintain proper use and upkeep of vehicles and report issues to Logistics SupervisorMaintains food safety standards, including temperature controlAssists with weighing product; loading and unloading at warehousesWorks cooperatively with others including staff, supervisors, co-workers, and agenciesMaintains workplace safety in all aspects of the job, particularly warehouse equipment and assigned vehiclesConsistently represents the Food Bank in a professional manner, exhibiting excellent customer serviceFollows the daily pick-up and delivery schedule, communicating necessary changesAssists in warehouse with all aspects of inventory, agency orders, cleaning, and organizingAttends all meetings, workshops, and / or trainings as directedAssists other drivers and / or warehouse staff as needed; may assist with food drivesSupervisory Responsibilities

To perform the job successfully, an individual will demonstrate teamwork, commitment, written and verbal communication and organizational skills. The Class B Truck Driver must have excellent customer service skills, being able to work effectively with a diverse population. This position requires positive, enthusiastic interactions with the public. Must be able to meet deadlines and be results oriented.
