Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring MA licensure, telemetry experience, and critical care skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a 14-bed ICU in a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (18 : 45-07 : 15)
  • Care for critically ill medical and some post-surgical patients, including ARDS, vented, pressors, chest tubes, and alcohol withdrawal cases
  • ICU serves as the code team and rapid response team
  • ICU staffing includes intensivists during the day and nurse practitioners at night
  • Typical patient ratios are 1 : 1 or 1 : 2
  • Uses Cerner EMR, with experience preferred
  • Care for patients with complex medical and surgical diagnoses, including alcohol withdrawal, overdoses, GI bleeds, and post-surgical care
  • Participate as part of the code and rapid response team
  • Collaborate with intensivists and nurse practitioners during shifts
  • Applicants who previously worked at this facility must have a one-year break before returning as travelers
  • Must meet any required testing or vaccination policies per hospital requirements
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

    • Requirements

  • Active MA RN license in hand required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
  • Strong telemetry skills and experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Experience with pulmonary artery line / Swan Ganz monitoring, continuous and procedural IV sedation
  • Ability to provide SSN and DOB for consideration
  • Copy of relevant certifications required
