Sr. Graphic Designer role at Varsity Spirit (BSN SPORTS, a Varsity Brands Company).

WORK TYPE : Hybrid

LOCATION DETAILS : 4 days onsite at Farmers Branch Headquarters; Friday is a flex day.

WORK HOURS : Full time, Exempt

What You Will Do

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for developing creative layouts for websites, landing pages, email, social media, digital ads, and more to create projects that inspire external customers and the internal sales force. This person will collaborate with teams of designers, marketers, merchandisers, and category managers to create engaging customer experiences. You will coordinate projects through completion with other internal departments and partner with outside vendors as needed. You will have access to and assistance from our in-house photography department to stylize and produce custom images. In a fast-paced design environment, you will balance multiple projects with quick-turn and longer deadlines and work with teammates and management regarding project status, feedback, and priorities. Establishes and implements design and format standards and processes to produce consistent, high-quality results.

Responsibilities

Create beautiful design aesthetics for various mediums that meet business goals.
Masterful skill level in digital modern layouts, graphic fundamentals, email & web design, typography, and print.
Deep understanding of customer experiences and journeys within the digital platform.
Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule.
Help drive creative direction for the company.
Prioritize and manage projects within design specifications.
Perform retouching and tweaks to existing content and suggest enhancements to creativity.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite with strong typography and layout skills.
Organize designs and assets properly through server / file systems.
Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with internal teams for a wide range of deliverables.

Qualifications

Attention to detail, ability to multitask, remain organized and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.

Self-motivated team player, able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and pivot focus smoothly.

Ability to incorporate customer-centric values and SPIRIT principles into the company’s mission, vision, and core values.

Strong communication skills across all levels of an organization.

Digital portfolio demonstrating problem solving with engaging, responsive design for B2B and B2C audiences.

Strong understanding of email and web design best practices, trends, and technical capabilities / limitations of the web.

Expert in Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office with strong typographic and layout skills.

Proficient in HTML & CSS.

Ownership of projects from concept to completion with ability to manage multiple projects / programs.

Ability to collaborate with other creatives to complete projects accurately and efficiently.

Adapt to existing processes while staying current with programs to deliver better results.

Education / Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design, computer science, or visual communication.

5+ years of creative experience designing for interactive projects, including email, website, online advertising, social media and mobile. Ecommerce brand experience a plus.

Experience in client services design environment is a plus.

Physical Requirements

This job operates in a professional office environment. It is largely sedentary with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. The ability to sit or stand for long periods during meetings and while operating office equipment will be required.
