Certified Dietary Manager
The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for the advanced nutrition of residents and is given a caseload of residents. Is responsible to manage the nutrition of short term, long term, hospice, and feeding tube residents.
Responsibilities Include :
- Conduct initial assessments , food preference interviews for assigned residents
- Monitor progress of short and long term residents and document accordingly
- Conduct meal rounds and document residents meal consumption and satisfaction
- Participate in wound round and interdisciplinary meetings
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary team
- Participates in meal and menu planning
- Assist in planning resident meals, guides and individuals and families to food selections
- Inputs new resident diets food preferences and allergies and make changes to resident preferences as necessary
- Enters menus in the systems (type) and make changes as necessary
- Inspects unit pantry, dayroom and dining room area daily to assure compliance with health, safety and sanitation requirements and regulations
- Adheres to appropriate code of ethics (CC); and
- Demonstrates regular attendance and punctuality
- Another task as required by the Registered dietitian
