Risk Control Consultant – Commercial Insurance (Remote in SD / NE / KS)

Location : Remote – Must reside in South Dakota, Nebraska, or Kansas (preferably northern / eastern KS)

Compensation :   Bonus + Profit-Sharing + Full Benefits

In this role, you’ll provide expert loss control guidance across a multi-state territory, working closely with policyholders, agents, underwriters, and claims teams. Your mission : to reduce risk exposures, enhance safety programs, and protect client operations through customized risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct on-site risk assessments of properties and business operations to identify hazards and exposures.

Analyze loss histories and claim trends to develop proactive accident prevention strategies.

Consult with insured clients to implement safety controls and improve risk profiles.

Maintain consultative relationships with assigned service accounts to foster continuous improvement.

Plan and deliver technical training sessions on risk control, safety programs, and compliance.

Facilitate risk control workshops, seminars, and internal / external partner training programs.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Engineering, Agricultural Science, or related field.

10+ years of experience in property / casualty risk control or loss prevention.

Strong consulting, relationship management, and presentation skills.

Proven experience in accident trend analysis and safety program development.

Industry certifications such as CSP, CFPS, CDS, or CIH strongly preferred.
