Position Summary : The Part Time Real Property Specialist will be responsible for coordinating right of way projects.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities :

• Assist in the preparation of contracts, and real estate acquisition related documents
• Assist in acquisition negotiations with property owners
• Prepare land acquisition forms
• Establish current market value of subject land including non-complex appraisal work
• Conduct complex negotiations with landowners to secure properties through purchase, donation, or condemnation
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, project estimates, purchase orders, specifications, and drafts contract documents for projects
• Conduct complex title research
• Serve as a Project Manager on small non-complex right of way projects

Working Conditions :

Some work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Significant field work (50% or more) is required where work may be conducted outside in heat / cold, wet / humid, and dry / arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required as needed.
