What You Will Do
- Join the Transportation Team on highway, bridge, and rail projects throughout the country.
- Provide transportation engineering services on highway, bridge and rail projects.
- Plan, conduct and coordinate traffic engineering work, prepare reports, plans and specs for design projects, and monitor multiple project schedules and budgets.
- Prepare and review design calculations, reports, contract drawings, cost estimates and specifications.
- Research design alternatives, code requirements and present findings.
- Communicate regularly with the Project Manager regarding expected results, workload, and progress.
- Advocate for, lead, and mentor entry level engineers.
- Communicate and attend meetings with clients, subconsultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Engage in business development activities including information gathering, preliminary design and proposal writing.
- Develop accurate engineering designs and plans with quality presentation, while meeting project budgets and schedules.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Education | Experience
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.A minimum of 4 years highway and / or traffic engineering experience.EIT Certification.Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).MicroStation & Geopak, Open Roads Designer, VISSIM, VISUM, AutoCAD.Traffic signal design and Synchro experience; knowledge of MUTCD, HSM & HCS.Ability to plan and coordinate across perspectives, solving problems collaboratively and fostering team learning.Commitment to inclusion and a diverse, equitable workplace.What You'll Bring To Our Firm

Certified as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) preferred.Experience with IDOT, CDOT, KDOT, MoDOT, or NDOT.Familiarity with highway design principles.Experience using VISSIM.Compensation
The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $100,000 . Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
