job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMultiple shifts available with in-time varying from 3 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 PM Full-time position available starting as soon as possible Nurse to patient ratio of 1 : 4-5 Weekend requirement : 6 weekend days worked per 6 weeks On-call requirement : 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks for emergencies or extra shifts as needed Floating may be requested but unlikely due to census Required certifications : Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from AHA RN License in state of employment or compact state required 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred Attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire Complete preceptorship with designated trained staff member Must complete organizational entry competency validation and Emergency Department-specific competency validation Annual competency verification requirements must be maintained Care for diverse patient population including clinic-type patients to strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all emergency department cases Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided Assess learning needs and provide patient / family education Referral bonus
