Fortress Nutrition is actively hiring for an experienced 3rd Shift Quality Technician to work on our Beverage Canning Line.
The right candidate will be able to train on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks and then move to a temporary 2nd shift schedule of 4 : 00pm-12 : 30am until 3rd shift is launched.
Training Schedule :
1st Shift (6 : 00am-2 : 30pm, Monday-Friday); OT and weekends as needed
Temporary Schedule :
2nd Shift (4 : 00pm-12 : 30am, Monday-Friday); OT and weekends as needed
Standard Schedule :
3rd Shift (7 : 00pm-3 : 30am, Monday-Friday); OT and weekends as needed
Job Summary : The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting the day-to-day quality and production related activities of the high-speed beverage / canning line operations.
What You'll Do :
- Perform quality control testing and execute basic routine quality assessments of raw materials, in-process, and finished processed goods.
- Collect samples for shipments to third-party laboratories.
- Perform routine calibrations of laboratory instrumentation; maintain instrument health.
- Communicate quality data and provide quality guidance to internal customers.
- Ensure all quality documents (MMRs, Cleaning Logs, Test Records, etc.) are properly completed in real time with strict attention-to-detail following Good Documentation Practices for accuracy and consistency.
- Provide support as needed during audits by regulatory and third-party certifying bodies.
- Conduct and coordinate facility environmental testing as part of the Internal Environmental Monitoring Program.
- Assist with company programs and initiatives, such as Fortress Nutrition's Calibration Program and customer complaint investigation.
- Cross-train with quality technicians to ensure no gap in quality coverage in urgent situations.
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including occasional weekends, to support business operations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED equivalent2+ years of demonstrated success in a Quality Control role is required2+ years of lab experience working with various instrumentation, including but not limited to : auto titrators, pH meters, Brix and density is strongly desiredStrong attention-to-detail, organizational skills, and communication skillsMust be able to proficiently read, write, and communicate in EnglishReliability, punctuality, strong sense of urgency, and ability to work effectively independently and as part of a teamProficient user of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Suite ProgramsAbility to work overtime and weekends as required based on production / business needsPreferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a bottling and canning facility or food / beverage manufacturing environment with understanding of food safety / quality programs such as GMPs, food safety
