Milton Nursing & Rehab is actively seeking a certified Infection Control & Wound Nurse.
What you'll do :
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Infection Control & Wound Nurse primary function is to assume delegated responsibility and accountability for the provision of resident care according to professional standards of nursing practice in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Implements nursing policies and procedures that reflect facility mission and philosophy. Implement infection control and quality assurance functions as assigned. Utilizes resources in an efficient and economic manner to ensure that each resident achieves the highest practicable psychically, mental and psychosocial well-being.

Required or Preferred knowledge / skills :
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
Active license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (required).
Active CPR Certification (required).
Active Infection Control Certificate (required).
Wound Certification (preferred)
Two (2) year of professional nursing experience in a long term care setting.
Knowledge of MDS and Care Planning process.
Demonstrate the competency in the protection and promotion of resident rights.
Direct and supervise nursing personnel to insure proper resident care.
Understand and follow written and / or verbal directions. Express self adequate in oral and / or written communications.
Able to communicate effectively with staff members, residents, visitors and vendors.
Current knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations that apply to nursing practices in long term care.
Hours would be typically Monday - Friday day shift with an on-call rotation.
