Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity ICU / SDU position with night shifts and Epic charting requirements.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a high acuity step-down unit (SDU) similar to a community hospital ICU
  • Night shift schedule from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 00 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Patients range from pediatric to geriatric populations requiring complex care
  • Epic EMR system is used on the unit
  • Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
  • Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, direct patient care, emergency procedures, and accurate documentation
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, maintain confidentiality, and follow National Patient Safety Goals
  • Patient and family education is a key component of the role
  • Travelers may stay on assignment up to one year before a mandatory 30-60 day break

  • Active NJ or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 1 year ICU experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • No local candidates; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
